21.Netball star Mwai fined. The Blantyre and Districts Netball League has slapped Escom sisters shooter Mwai Kumwenda with one match ban and K5000 fine for beating up an opponent three months ago. Mwai has forthe past two months won two top world netball awards. She won player of the tournament in the Cooks Islands and this month won Player of the Tournament Accolade in UK. Teams like New Zealand,Samoa,Jamaica, England, Australia and Malawi were there. She is currently being courted by New Zealand and Australian netball clubs.
